Tristan Walker (K1RA) is a Washington, D.C.–based music producer, audio engineer, and DJ. Holding a master’s degree in Music Technology, he has self-produced and mixed four EPs over the past five years. Under the K1RA moniker, his work exists at the intersection of lyrical songwriting, experimental production, and club-driven energy, blending vocal intimacy with influences from global dance music.

Beyond his artist project, Tristan runs Walker Sound Design, a full-service audio production practice. His clients have commissioned original music, mixing, and mastering for dance, theater, film, and digital media, and he also provides engineering services for podcasts. He is a monthly resident host on Radio Alhara, where he curates and broadcasts forward-thinking electronic music.

As a DJ, K1RA has performed across the United States as well as Central and South America. His sets spotlight contemporary global bass and club sounds, with a strong emphasis on Latinx rhythmic traditions. Notable performances include House of Yes and The Bowery Electric in New York City, and most recently, the organization and performance of a livestreamed event at Relink Data, a well-known radiobar in the heart of Mexico City.
